About LeadingAge Ohio

Not-For-Profit Difference

Celebrating it 75th anniversary this year, LeadingAge Ohio is a nonprofit organization that represents approximately 400 nonprofit long-term care facilities located in more than 150 Ohio towns and cities, as well as those providing ancillary health care and housing services. LeadingAge Ohio-member facilities serve more than 50,000 elderly Ohioans daily and employ more than 20,000 persons statewide.

Not-for-profit providers of senior services include senior housing, both subsidized and market rate, adult day care, home- and community-based services, assisted living and skilled nursing. A majority of LeadingAge Ohio members are faith-based and provide many or all of these services.

LeadingAge Ohio is a member-driven organization, with leadership elected by peers from around the state. The leadership team is composed of the Board of Directors, including executive committee officers; regional directors, responsible for organizing in-district member meetings; and delegates, who represent LeadingAge Ohio at our national organization, LeadingAge. Strategic committees, action councils and special interest groups comprised of members from around the state help to develop and oversee governing policies and positions.

LeadingAge Ohio's Vision: Empower not-for-profit Ohio organizations to optimize choices for successful aging.

LeadingAge Ohio’s Mission: LeadingAge Ohio exists to ensure the success of not-for-profit providers serving frail and older adults.
